Entries for the 2023 Coastal Classic are now open!
Entries will go quickly for the 14th edition of the Coastal Classic, so don’t miss your chance to experience this epic trail run. With 30km of trail along some of the most spectacular coastline in Australia, it’s easy to see why this trail run is so popular. The course is set along the Coast Track through the Royal National Park, with its stunning vista and breathtaking views across the world’s second oldest National Park. Although the area is just South of Sydney, you could literally be in the middle of nowhere.
It’s not just the views that attract such a crowd. The race has gained a reputation on the calendar as one that keeps trail runners coming back year after year. Love or hate the boardwalk, there’s no denying that the race is getting faster – but don’t underestimate the Coastal Classic course! The hills, sandstone steps and sand will still prove to be a challenge as you chase down the Bundeena finish line or that elusive Coastal Classic Conqueror status.

Course Update
In the interests of full transparency we would like all participants to keep the following in mind:
As at the 3rd of April 2023 the Coast Track between Little Garie and Garie Beach is closed, as is the road into Garie Beach. This is a result of lingering damage from the extreme rainfall events in 2022. At this point in time we have no firm date for when these two sections will be reopened. If this section is reopened before September the course will follow the normal route from Otford to Bundeena.
We are currently working with NPWS, RMS and other relevant authorities to secure approval for an alternative route which avoids these areas and keeps the event as an Otford to Bundeena course. If those efforts fail there is a chance the event could need to be held as an out and back course starting and finishing in Bundeena. This is our last resort option.
As soon as we have further information regarding the race route we will let all registered participants know via email, followed by updates on social media and the event website. Please take this into consideration when signing up for the event.
